Bankruptcy is a legal action taken when a creditor is unable to pay their debts, or that, given their circumstances, they are unlikely to do so. Recent changes in bankruptcy laws have created a need for more and better information on this subject for debtors, creditors, and their attorneys. Debtors need to know what their rights are and what they can reasonably expect from their debtors. Lawyers who may not specialize in this area may need new or used books to keep their information up to date. Law students should beware that used texts are current, reflecting current bankruptcy law, specifically the Bankruptcy Abuse Protection and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. Recommended legal books by some of the top publishers and authors in the field of Bankruptcy Law
